A retainer (1) is provided with a ring portion (2) and a plurality of post portions (3) which are formed in a circumferential direction with respect to the ring portion (2) and which define pockets (5) in which balls (4), which form rolling bodies, are housed. Each post portion (3) consists of a post inner diameter side portion (3A) which constitutes a bearing inner diameter side of the post portion (3), and a post outer diameter side portion (3B) which is connected to the post inner diameter side portion (3A) at an outer end position in a radial direction in such a way that the post outer diameter side portion extends on both sides in a circumferential direction. The inner surface of each pocket (5) is a spherical surface extending over the post inner diameter side portion (3A) and the post outer diameter side portion (3B). The connecting position of the post outer diameter side portion (3B) to the post inner diameter side portion (3A) is adjusted to be located radially outside of a position of a pitch circle of the plurality of balls (4) retained in the respective pockets (5). Thus, the thickness of the post inner diameter side portion (3A) at the connecting position is greater than the thickness thereof at the position of the pitch circle.
