Title:
RESIN WELDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/155016
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An annular planned welding region (R) having a center line (CL) is irradiated with laser light (L) the irradiation region of which is a part of the planned welding region (R) while the planned welding region (R) is relatively rotated multiple times around the center line (CL) with respect to the laser light (L). Consequently, the part of the planned welding region (R) is intermittently irradiated with the laser light (L), thereby enabling the prevention of sharp temperature rise such that the decomposition temperature of a resin member is exceeded by a single irradiation of the part of the planned welding region (R) with the laser light. Moreover, since the cross-sectional shape perpendicular to an optical axis (OA) of the laser light (L) is an annular shape in the planned welding region (R), a laser light incidence-side end (R1) of the planned welding region (R) and the center of the irradiation region of the laser light (L) in the vicinity of the end can be prevented from being damaged due to excessive heat input.
