Abstract:
Compounds of general formula (1) useful in preparing resins for antifouling agents against periphytons (wherein R is hydrogen or methyl; Y is lower alkyl or phenyl optionally substituted with halogeno and/or lower alkyl; X is phenyl optionally substituted with halogeno and/or lower alkyl, 2-thiazolyl optionally substituted with lower alkyl, 2-thiazolyl substituted at the 4-position with phenyl optionally substituted with halogeno and/or lower alkyl, or 2-benzothiazolyl optionally substituted with halogeno and/or lower alkyl); resins for antifouling agents against periphytons, prepared by polymerizing at least one of the above compounds with at least one monomer selected from among other unsaturated monomers having radical-polymerizable double bonds; a process for the preparation of the resins, characterized by polymerizing at least one of the above compounds with at least one monomer selected from among other unsaturated monomers having radical-polymerizable double bonds; and antifouling agents against periphytons, characterized by containing a resin prepared by polymerizing at least one of the above compounds with at least one monomer selected from among other unsaturated monomers having radical-polymerizable double bonds.
