Abstract:
Provided is a resistance spot welding method which is capable of stably forming nuggets having large diameters, and ensuring sufficient cross tensile strength, even in cases when welding at several hundred points is continuously performed. In this method for resistance spot welding a set of sheets obtained by superposing steel sheets, main conduction, preliminary conduction prior to the main conduction, and subsequent conduction subsequent to the main conduction are performed, and a non-conduction time for which conduction is paused is provided between each conduction. When Im[kA] represents the current value during the main conduction, Tm[ms] represents the conduction time of the main conduction, Ip[kA] represents the current value during the preliminary conduction, Tp[ms] represents the conduction time of the preliminary conduction, Tcp[ms] represents the non-conduction time between the preliminary conduction and the main conduction, Ir[kA] represents the current value during the subsequent conduction, Tr[ms] represents the conduction time of the subsequent conduction, and Tcr[ms] represents the non-conduction time between the main conduction and the subsequent conduction, each of these is controlled so as to be within a prescribed range.
