Abstract:
Provided is a resolver malfunction detection method that can promptly detect malfunctions without requiring complex computations, an angle detection device, a motor, and a transport device. A circuit is provided that supplies a sinusoidal wave and direct-current voltage in alternation as an excitation signal for a resolver (2). Immediately after a power source has been introduced, a direct-current voltage is impressed on the resolver (2) and the output voltages of the resolver (2) at various phases when the direct-current voltage has been impressed are measured. At that time, the output voltages at the various phases are compared and if all of the output voltages do not match, it is determined that a malfunction (short-out malfunction, short-circuit malfunction) has occurred in the resolver (2).
