Abstract:
Disclosed is a resonance suppression device for the purpose of reducing power loss and apparatus capacitance by outputting a compensating current merely during a period of time when voltage resonance is being generated, said resonance suppression device suppressing resonance generated when a power apparatus is connected to a power system. The resonance suppression device has: a current command value generating unit, which has inputted thereto a current supplied from the power apparatus to the power system, and which generates a current command value; a resonance detecting unit that detects resonance on the basis of harmonic components included in a voltage of the power system; a capacitance change detecting unit that detects a change of capacitance (impedance) connected to the power system; and a current control unit that controls, on the basis of the current command value, a compensating current to be supplied to the power system from a power conversion apparatus connected to the power system. In the cases where the resonance detecting unit detects resonance, the current command value generating unit generates the current command value on the basis of the harmonic components included in the current supplied to the power system from the power apparatus, and in the cases where the capacitance change detecting unit detects the change of the capacitance, the current command value generating unit generates the current command value so as to reduce the compensating current.
