Title:
RESOURCE ALLOCATING DEVICE AND RESOURCE ALLOCATING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/082185
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This resource allocating device includes: a search unit which, in response to a physical network resource usage request in which any pair of nodes from among a plurality of nodes forming the physical network are specified as end points, searches for candidate pathways between the end points, where said candidate pathways are capable of allocating a resource amount associated with the usage request, on the condition that resources already allocated to other usage requests have been removed from the physical network; a calculating unit which, for each identified candidate pathway, calculates the maximum number of pathways capable of being allocated between end points associated with each existing usage request to which resources have already been allocated, on the condition that resources have been allocated to the candidate pathway; and a selecting unit which selects the candidate pathway having the largest total maximum number. This makes it possible to perform resource allocation that allows a large number of services to be accommodated on a physical network by avoiding fragmentation of the physical network resources.
