Abstract:
A resource management method and device, capable of improving the resource utilization rate. The method is applied to a resource management system comprising at least one NVM subsystem and at least one host. The NVM subsystem comprises at least one controller and a plurality of storage media; a first host of the at least one host is in communication with a first controller in a first NVM subsystem by means of at least one I/O queue pair. The method comprises: the resource management device monitors the resource utilization rate of a first queue in the at least one I/O queue pair, the resource utilization rate of the first queue being used for identifying the use rate of a storage space allocated to the first queue, wherein the first queue comprises any one of submission queues and/or any one of completion queues in the at least one I/O queue pair; when it is monitored that the resource utilization rate of the first queue satisfies a preset condition, release the storage space occupied by the first queue.
