Abstract:
A resource measurement and reporting method in a long term evolution system is provided. A source base station encapsulates a resource status request message and transmits it to a target base station, the target base station processes the resource status request message after receiving it, then transmits a resource status success response to the source base station if the processing is successful, or transmits a resource status failure response to the source base station if the processing fails. In the resource status request message, said source base station encapsulates at least the message type (2), the measurement request type (3), the source base station global identifier (4) and the measurement configuration information (5), wherein said measurement request type (3) is one or more of start, modify or end (7), said measurement configuration information (5) is the measurement configuration information (5) under the current measurement request type (3). Once a number of resource status measurement reports have been issued, the method enables, during the course of network operations among base stations, the easy start, modification or ending of a current measurement of a target base station, and the number of exchanges of information among base stations is reduced.
