Abstract:
Provided is an item of respiratory protective equipment allowing persons wearing face units to converse with minimal impairment. The respiratory protective equipment (1) has a face unit (10). The equipment (1) also has an amplification unit (40) incorporating a microphone and speaker, a detection unit for directly or indirectly detecting the pressure inside the face unit, a power source, and a controller. The controller places the amplification unit (40) in an operating state or a non-operating state on the basis of a result obtained by comparing information from the detection unit with an assessment reference in the controller.
