Abstract:
The present invention proposes a response estimation method and a response estimation device with which it is possible to efficiently estimate a response to an input when a quantum-mechanical signal has been inputted. In the present embodiment, by using an inequality defined on the basis of Bernoulli sampling, it is possible to estimate a quantity of eavesdropping on an optical pulse for communication so as to monitor eavesdropping activity, and thus it is possible to estimate a response to an input when a test optical pulse has been inputted and to efficiently monitor eavesdropping activity, without using a special ideal optical pulse, which is considered to be necessary for detecting eavesdropping.
