Abstract:
Restoring leather and method for making the same are disclosed. This leather is mainly obtained by three-dimensionally interlacing collagen fiber of disintegrated leather, and has apparent density of 0.35-1.4 g/cm3. The making method of the leather comprises manufacturing collagen fiber by disintegrating leather, netting, spun lacing, and wet-heat shrink modeling. This restoring leather has performances including weaving structure, apparent density, strength indicators and durability approaching to nature leather. The leather is big and regular to be cut as will, and the leather has consistent apparent density. This main raw material of the restoring leather is scrap of leather industry. This making method is of advantage to recycle the resource of leather industry.
