Abstract:
This retainer (11) for a thrust roller bearing, said retainer being provided in a thrust roller bearing (20) and being provided with a plurality of pockets (21) that accommodate rollers (13), comprises: outer diameter region bent portions (41) that are formed by bending to an inner diameter side using, as a bending start point, an annular groove provided further to the outer diameter side than the pockets (21); and protruding portions (44) that are provided at the tips of the outer diameter region bent portions (41) in locations aligned with the pockets (21), and protrude from the outer diameter-side edges of the pockets (21) to the inner diameter side so as to come into contact with end surfaces (16) of the rollers (13) which are accommodated in the pockets (21). A trace (29) of the groove remains at the bending start point.
