Abstract:
A retaining device that clamps an item in a detachable manner comprises a base (2), a slider (4), and a biasing member (S1); the base (2) further comprising a fixed jaw assembly (22) that is disposed upon one end of a positioning unit, and an operating button (5) that is pivotably supported via a shaft unit; the slider (4) further comprising a movable jaw assembly (41) that clamps the item against the fixed jaw assembly (22), and a toothed portion (45) disposed in the sliding direction; and the operating button (5) further comprising an operation part (51) at one end that clamps the shaft unit, and a hook part (53) disposed upon the other end that hooks detachably upon the toothed portion (45) of the slider; wherein the hook part (53), being constantly biased by a biasing spring (S3), hooks with the toothed portion (45), restricting the sliding of the slider; and unhooks by operation that resists the bias of the operation part, resisting the bias of the biasing member (S1), and allowing the slider to slide.
