A retelling sentence generation method and apparatus, wherein same relate to the research field of natural language processing and are aimed at improving the accuracy of generating retelling sentences. The method comprises: acquiring a first sentence (201); generating m second sentences according to the first sentence and a retelling generation model, wherein the second sentences and the first sentence have a retelling relationship (202); determining, according to a retelling matching model, a matching degree between the m second sentences and the first sentence, wherein the higher the matching degree between one of the second sentences and the first sentence, the greater the probability that the second sentence and the first sentence are retelling sentences of one another (203); and according to the matching degree between the m second sentences and the first sentence, determining n second sentences from among the m second sentences, wherein the n second sentences are retelling sentences of the first sentence (204), with m being an integer greater than 0, and n being an integer greater than 0 and less than or equal to m, and the retelling generation model and the retelling matching model are both constructed by a deep neural network, and the retelling generation model is obtained by means of intensive learning and training according to encouragement fed back by the retelling matching model.
