Abstract:
A retractable anti-crash post system includes a retractable anti-crash post (1) pivoting between an operational position and a non-operational position, a groove (2) accommodating the retractable anti-crash post (1) in the non-operational position, an upper supporting structure (3) and a lower supporting structure (4) which are fixed on the groove (2) in parallel with the retractable anti-crash post (1) in the operational position and spaced apart vertically and transversely, and a connecting mechanical device (5) movably linked to the retractable anti-crash post (1). The system can be used as anti-crash barriers for buildings and the like, with the advantage that it can perform anti-crash function in the operational position after being mounted and the anti-crash post (1) can be retracted to the non-operational position at any time when needed. Furthermore, the system takes the advantage of a movable anti-crash post without transportation and storage in a location other than the mounting location. The retractable anti-crash post system can be manually operated without hoisting equipment. A method for mounting the system is to secure the bottom of the system’s groove (2) under the ground.
