Abstract:
The invention relates to a key (10) comprising a retractable insert (14) which is pivotally mounted between a retracted position and an extended use position with respect to a case (12) forming the head the key (10), wherein the insert (14) is provided with a first end (18) forming a heel by means of which the insert (14) is articulated with respect to the case (12) around a vertical axis (A) and which comprises means for driving the insert (14) to the retracted or extended position thereof. Said invention is characterised in that said drive means comprises an elastically deformable element (34) producing an elastic return force on the insert (14) towards the retracted or extended position thereof according to the position of said insert (14) with respect to a predefined position which is intermediate position between the retracted and extended positions.
