Abstract:
Provided is a retraction prevention device for a vehicular pedal device with which, when the dash panel is displaced toward the rear side of the vehicle, a deformation of a vehicle body-side member toward the rear side of the vehicle can be inhibited, and an operation pedal can be prevented from retracting. A brake pedal device 1 has a pedal bracket 10, an operation pedal 20, an intermediate lever 25, a coupling link 30, a retraction prevention link 40, and a retraction prevention member 50. A second support shaft 12, which couples the retraction prevention link 40 to the retraction prevention member 50, is positioned below a reference line L, and therefore the brake pedal device 1 moves the second support shaft 12 downward when the vehicle experiences a front collision. As a result, the intermediate lever 25 moves downward together with the second support shaft 12, such that the operation pedal 20 turns, via the coupling link 30, around a first support shaft 11 toward the front side of the vehicle. The load from the front side of the vehicle acts in the direction moving the second support shaft 12 downward, such that deformations to members such as an instrument panel reinforcement I can be inhibited.
