Abstract:
This reuse system is provided with a key creating device, an on-vehicle computer which is detached from a first vehicle and is installed in a second vehicle, and a data security device which is installed in the second vehicle. The key creating device is provided with a vehicle interface, and a key creating unit which, by using an on-vehicle computer identifier and a master key common to the first and second vehicles, creates a first key the same as a key stored in the on-vehicle computer from the time of installation in the first vehicle. The key creating device transmits the first key to the second vehicle. The data security device is provided with a first interface unit, and a first encryption processing unit which generates encrypted first data by encrypting, with use of the first key, first data to be applied to the on-vehicle computer. The data security device transmits the encrypted first data to the on-vehicle computer. The on-vehicle computer is provided with a second interface unit, a second storage unit which stores the first key from the time of installation in the first vehicle, and a second encryption processing unit which decrypts the encrypted first data by using the first key.
