Abstract:
A reverse input blocking device is provided with: an input shaft (11); an output shaft (12); a friction disc (13); an elastic member (14) which presses the friction disc (13) toward a stationary member (24); and a torque cam section (15) which is provided between the input shaft (11) and the friction disc (13) and in which the rotation of the input shaft (11) relative to the friction disc (13) applies axial force to the friction disc (13) in the direction in which the friction disc (13) moves away from the stationary friction surface (27) of the stationary member (24), thereby transmitting rotational torque, which is transmitted from the input shaft (11), to the output shaft (12) through the friction disc (13) while the movable friction surface (28) of the friction disc (13) is separated from the stationary friction surface (27). The reverse input blocking device blocks rotational torque reversely inputted from the output shaft (12) by the engagement between the movable friction surface (28) and the stationary friction section (27). In the reverse input blocking device, a torque transmission section (38) for assisting the transmission of rotational torque by the torque cam section (15) is provided between the input shaft (11) and the friction disc (15).
