Abstract:
Provided is a reverse input prevention clutch in which the parts (a central section (9b) in the lengthwise direction and an intermediate section (9c)) other than a lock release section (9a) in a lock release piece (9) for releasing the locked state of an output-side member (4) are inserted in a recess (3a) that opens into the torque input-side end surface and the outer circumferential surface of an inner ring (3) of the output-side member (4) and the entire lock release piece (9) is arranged within the range of the axial position of the output-side member (4). As a result, the overall size of the clutch in the axial direction is reduced and thereby made more compact than conventional clutches in which the locked state of an output-side member is released using a crown-shaped holder.
