Abstract:
A reverse-opening slide fastener (1) according to the present invention comprises: a pair of element rows (6) that are fixed along opposing side edge parts of a pair of pieces of tape (5); an insert rod (7) and a box rod (8) that are separately fixed to rear end parts of the pair of pieces of tape; and a front-side forward slider (3) and rear-side reverse slider (4) that are movable frontward and backward along the opposing side edge parts of the pair of pieces of tape. The element row on the box rod side is provided with a continuous element part (61) in which a plurality of elements (6a) are continuous, and an independent element (21) on the box rod side. The independent element is accommodated inside the forward slider in a state where the insert rod is insertable/removable into/from the forward slider and the reverse slider. The independent element is disposed between the box rod and the continuous element part on the box rod side, and at an interval in the front-rear direction from each of the box rod and the continuous element part on the box rod side. Because there are intervals in the front-rear direction, the piece of tape on the box rod side deforms easily, and the insert rod can be easily inserted in the pair of sliders.
