A reverse pedal mechanism used to control automobiles and other vehicles, basically capable of avoiding, from the principle of structure, stepping on an accelerator by mistake. Completely different from a traditional accelerator pedal, the reverse pedal mechanism accelerates by being lifted, and decelerates by being pushed, and can activate braking by continuing to push on the pedal after decelerating to idle. The reverse pedal mechanism seamlessly realizes acceleration and braking, and in performance, revolutionizes the traditional use of the vehicle accelerator pedal and brake pedal. The present invention mainly comprises an auxiliary pedal (6), a pedal (1), a braking shaft (7), an acceleration spring (19) and an activation power source. The pedal (1) is installed with normally open switches (2, 3) for controlling the start and stop of the activation power source. When the activation power source starts, the acceleration spring (19) lifts the pedal (1) for acceleration; and when the activation power source stops, the pedal (1) automatically returns to idle. When being pushed from idle, the pedal (1) brakes: the pedal (1) drives the braking shaft (7) to rotate, and the braking shaft (7) drives the auxiliary pedal (6) to push a brake master cylinder rod (9) to brake.
