Abstract:
The invention relates to a reversible-flow filter with a filter insert (5) arranged in a filter housing, the inner space (8) of which being connected to a fluid inlet, with an outlet and with a backwash device being rotatable and having a backwash body (22) with a washing gap (24), reaching near to the surface of the filter wall (6), for cleaning off the inside of the filter wall (6) in backwash operation. The backwash device is coupled at one axial end to a rotary drive and at its other axial end to a sludge discharge. In order to provide a reversible-flow filter with improved operational characteristics on continuous use, the backwash body (22) is provided with a suckaway slot (29) being openable into the inner space, separate from the washing gap (24) and having a larger opening cross section that of the washing gap (24), wherein the backwash device (has a hollow shaft (30) being partially movable in relation to the backwash body (22) and rotatable by means of the rotary drive for connecting the washing gap (24) or the suckaway slot (29) to the sludge discharge as a function of the relative position between the backwash body (22) and the hollow shaft (30).
