Abstract:
This RFID system according to the present invention is an RFID system including: racks having a metal surface inside a housing; a rack storage device stored inside the housing to be insertable/extractable in an insertion/extraction direction; an RFIC element having a pair of terminal electrodes; an RFID tag including a radiation element connected to one of the pair of terminal electrodes and a ground conductor connected to the other one of the pair of terminal electrodes; and a cable-shaped reader/writer antenna that is wired inside the housing and can wirelessly communicate with the RFID tag. The rack storage device has a tag installation surface that is parallel to the insertion/extraction direction. The RFID tag is installed such that the radiation element protrudes from the rack storage device in the insertion/extraction direction and at least a part of the ground conductor faces the tag installation surface.
