Abstract:
The present invention discloses a ribbon cable. The ribbon cable comprises a signal unit group and an insulating layer enclosing and fixing the signal unit group. The signal unit group is formed by at least two signal units which are arranged approximately on the same plane and are disposed at intervals or in close proximity. The ribbon cable is characterized in that: a left side and a right side of the signal unit group are directly enclosed by the insulating layer; the insulating layer is formed by combination extrusion-injection molding or hot press forming; or the insulating layer is formed by joining and bonding of at least one insulating film. In addition, joining points at two ends of the insulating film are located on an upper side or a lower side of the signal unit group. The ribbon cable provided in the present invention integrally forms an insulation layer or provides a joined portion on an upper surface or a lower surface of a signal unit group. Because the length of an overlapping joined portion can be adjusted according to needs, issues such as tearing of insulating film and short circuit caused by tearing of insulating film are effectively prevented. Because the insulating layer is thin, there are no obvious traces of join lines on the upper or lower surfaces, such that the cable appearance is improved.
