A rice cooker comprises a housing (1), a pot (2), a pot cover (3), a bottom heater (4), a filter screen (9), a defoaming heater (12), a water-feeding system (5) and a drainage system (10). The filter screen (9), together with the bottom of the pot, forms a water collecting chamber (2c). One end of the water-feeding system (5) is connected with a water inlet (2a) which is arranged on the upper side wall of the pot, and the other end is connected with the drainage system (10) to form a circulation system. The waterway structure of the drainage system (10) is in an "Y" structure, of which the first end is connected with the water collecting chamber (2c) on the bottom of the pot, the second end is connected with the water-feeding system (5), and the third end is provided with a drainage switching device (7c). A water pump (7b) is also connected between the second end and the water-feeding system (5), and the defoaming heater (12) is arranged in the water collecting chamber (2c). A circulation system is arranged, which provides forced convection within pot, and extra rice soup can be discharged out of the pot, so that the rice made by the rice cooker tastes soft and delicious, meanwhile solving the problem that the amount of water added is hard to control.
