Abstract:
A ride quality simulator (1) for evaluating a ride quality of railway accurately, comprising a controller (60) for controlling a driver (50) to shake a plurality of arbitrary shafts simultaneously among six shafts for a passenger room (10) simulating the interior of a railway vehicle. The controller (60) sets an upper limit on the vibratory acceleration and the frequency region of a back/forth component of a vibration applied to the simulated passenger room (10) out of a up/down component, a left/right component and a back/forth component, to thereby raise the upper limits on the vibratory accelerations and the frequency regions of the up/down component and the left/right component. Since a ride quality can be reproduced, when the vibration is divided into an up/down component, a left/right component and a back/forth component, to such respective extents as giving very poor ride qualities, the ride quality simulator (1) can evaluate a ride quality accurately.
