Abstract:
According to the present invention, a rider identification device for a vehicle is a rider identification device for a vehicle (1) that a rider (J) rides wearing a helmet (H), and includes a helmet behavior detecting means (12) for detecting behavior of the helmet (H), and an operator authentication means (38b) for authentication of an operator (J1) of the vehicle (1). In a case in which a plurality of riders (J) ride the vehicle (1), each wearing a respective one of the helmets (H), the operator authentication means (38b) compares behavior information of each of the plurality of helmets (H) with each other, recognizes behavior information satisfying at least one of conditions of a relatively fast response speed in behavior with respect to acceleration/deceleration of movement of the vehicle (1), and a relatively small behavior with respect to acceleration/deceleration of movement of the vehicle (1), as being behavior information of a helmet (H1) worn by the operator (J1) of the vehicle (1), and authenticates the operator (J1) of the vehicle (1) on the basis of this recognition.
