Technical field

The present invention relates in general to the sports sector.

Although it is also applicable to other disciplines, this invention relates in particular to a pair of breeches for horse riding suitable for all horse riding activities.

Background art

In practice, it is important to choose suitable clothing for horse riding activities, in particular as regards the choice of breeches, which must be adherent and elastic in such a way as to easily adapt to the movements of the body. This choice makes it possible to avoid the formation of creases or crumples in the fabric which can cause rubbing and discomfort during sports activities.

More specifically, this aspect is important in the end part of the pair of breeches, that is to say, the part beneath the knee, commonly known as the "sock". An adherent sock makes it possible to avoid, once the boot is worn, that there is an excessive thickness inside the boot which could irritate the skin or cause discomfort, thereby disturbing the sports activity. Whilst they undoubtedly aim to meet the needs of convenience and ease of use, the horse riding breeches available on the market do not take into consideration the fact that horse riding sports use up enormous amounts of energy, especially for those who ride a large number of horses each day, subjecting in particular the lower limbs to considerable work loads. In this context, the aim of this invention is to provide horse riding breeches which, as well as providing all of the advantages already present in the prior art, are able to reduce tiredness of the lower limbs of the user during the horse riding activities.

The technical purpose indicated and the aims specified are substantially achieved by a pair of horse riding breeches comprising the technical features described in one or more of the appended claims. The dependent claims correspond to possible different embodiments of the invention. This invention accordingly provides a pair of horse riding breeches wherein the upper part, that is, the part between the waist and the knee, is made like an ordinary pair of horse riding breeches, whilst the lower part, that is, the part between the portion of the knee and that of the ankle of each leg of the pair of breeches, is made with a technical fabric of the compression type, preferably using the "polpaccio performance" sock produced by CIZETA SpA, which is adequately stitched to the breeches at the height of the knee,

The use of a compression type fabric favours blood circulation, allowing a greater oxygenation of the muscular tissues, thereby reducing muscle tiredness of the lower limbs during the horse riding activities. Moreover, the use of this fabric makes it possible to optimise the cellular metabolism, allowing a greater capacity for recovery when subjected to considerable forces, thus significantly reducing cardiac stress.

Detailed description of preferred embodiments of the invention

With reference to the accompanying drawings, the numeral 1 denotes a pair of horse riding breeches according to the invention.

The pair of breeches according to this invention comprises an upper part 2 which extends from the waist to the knee of each leg of the pair of breeches and a lower part 3, commonly known as the "sock", which extends from the knee to the ankle of each leg of the pair of breeches. The lower part 3 is made by stitching beneath the knee a sock made of a fabric which is different to the one used for the upper part of the pair of breeches, preferably using a fabric of the compression type, still more preferably, the sock is of the "polpaccio performance" type produced by CIZETA SpA.

Advantageously, the stitching is performed with two needles, using the so- called "covering" method.
