Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a rigidity varying function that allows torsional rigidity to be varied. A rigidity varying device which addresses this problem is characterized by including: an upper frame; a lower frame provided to be opposed to the upper frame and rotatably connected to the upper frame in a torsional direction; and an elastic body that has different bending spring constants depending on the direction of bending, the elastic body being provided between the upper frame and the lower frame so as to be connected to both the frames in such a manner as to be varied in orientation relative to the torsional orientation of the upper and lower frames.
