Abstract:
Provided is a ring magnet that is for an SPM motor and that can increase output, increase efficiency, and decrease torque ripple in an SPM motor. Also provided are a production method for a ring magnet for an SPM motor, an SPM motor that uses a ring magnet for an SPM motor, and a production method for an SPM motor. A greensheet (14) is manufactured by crushing a magnet source material into a magnet powder and molding the crushed magnet powder into a sheet. Afterward, magnetic field orientation is performed by applying a magnetic field to the molded greensheet (14). Following magnetic field orientation, the greensheet (14) is in a deformed state and a plurality thereof are laminated and affixed, and the laminated plurality of greensheets is cut and molded into fan shapes that are annularly connected so as to form a ring that is sintered to produce a permanent magnet (1).
