A ring saw drive device for rotatingly driving a ring saw having cutting blades on the outer periphery thereof and a cutting device with the ring saw installed, as an attachment, at the tip of the arm of a shovel system excavator, the drive device wherein endless belts (6, 46, 51) rotatingly driving ring saw bodies (5, 13, 39) are disposed so that a part of the outer peripheral side thereof is wound on a part of the outer periphery of the ring saw bodies (5, 13, 39) to directly drive the ring saw bodies (5, 13, 39) by the endless belts (6, 46, 51) utilizing the outer peripheral side of the peripheral circuit thereof, whereby the ring saw bodies (5, 13, 39) can be deeply inserted into a cut object (32) despite the fact that the endless belts (6, 46, 51) are used and, since a power is transmitted between the endless belts (6, 46, 51) and the ring saw bodies (5, 13, 39) in contact with each other over a wide range, wear at power transmission parts can be reduced and the power can be efficiently transmitted from the endless belts (6, 46, 51) to the ring saw bodies (5, 13, 39).
