Abstract:

The objective of the present disclosure is to provide a rivet nut with which it is possible to sufficiently prevent a reduction in lubricating performance, whether due to transportation and/or storage, or some other factors, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. The present disclosure provides a rivet nut 100 having a tubular section 10, which has a tubular main body section 1 open in the axial direction and screw thread sections 2 provided on the inner circumferential surface of the tubular main body section, and a flange section 30, which is provided on one end of the tubular main body section 1. Recesses 20 are provided in the top portions of the screw thread sections 2. The present disclosure also provides a method for manufacturing a rivet nut, wherein roll tapping is performed to form screw thread sections 2 and recesses 20 are formed in the top portions of the screw thread sections 2.
