Description:
ROAD MARKING EQUIPMENT

Technical Field

A road marking equipment enabling the spraying of road marking paints, which are thermoplasticbased, solid at room temperature, and require to be heated up to 220 degrees to provide pulverization and fluidization thereof, up to a pressure of 200 bars without a cooling problem thanks to the heating system thereon, without any need for pulverization, and without any pressure tank for transfer.

State of Art

The road marking paint is specifically produced to be used for traffic markings. The road marking paints are designed to last on the place of application thanks to their special components and are produced in a manner not easily worn and enabling superiority of visibility. They are produced with different formulas such as rubber-modified, alkyd-based, MMA acrylic-based, and water-based. The road marking paint is used for horizontal and vertical traffic marking in open and closed areas. They have various kinds such as single-component road marking paints, two-component road marking paints, three-component road marking paints, and thermoplastic road marking paints Kinds of application for the road marking paints differ in accordance with the types of production. Most commonly used cold road paint (single-component marking paints) are best applied airless (with an airless or pneumatic machine), or alternatively with a brush or roller brush. Two- component road paints are applied as flat, structured, or a profiled line machine, and other appropriate equipment. Thermoplastic paints, in turn, are applied with boiler-type machines that allow hot application. In the present application, the pressure required for spraying is created in a pressure tank and the paint heated up to 220°C causes a great occupational safety and life risk in possible gas entrapment/tank explosions. The desired performance cannot be achieved during the application. In the process, since the paint cannot fully penetrate the floor, the line on the floor is erased in a very short time.

Object of the Invention

The present invention relates to road marking equipment satisfying all aforementioned requirements, eliminating all disadvantages, and bringing some additional advantages. The main object of the road marking equipment according to the invention is to eliminate the risk of tank explosion.

Another object of the invention is to prevent gas compression.

Another object of the invention is to enhance paint retention.

Another object of the invention is to use less amount of paint.

Another object of the invention is to save material with the same efficiency.

Drawings for Understanding of the Invention

For a full understanding of the structure of the present invention and advantages thereof along with additional elements, it should be evaluated with the drawings explained below.

The hydraulic oil at high pressure, with the hydraulic oil pump located in the hydraulic engine (1 ) driven by the diesel engine, is transmitted to the hydraulic body of the pump (2) and actuates the piston thanks to the hydraulic drive shaft (4). The hydraulic piston, which moves up and down, actuates the paint pump drive shaft (9) and the spoon (12) thanks to the intermediate box connection (5) enabling the connection of the hydraulic engine and the paint pump. The filling of the paint in the body with the up and down motion of the drive shaft (9) is provided by the inner valve (11 ). The pump spoon (12) carries the paint from the chamber to the body and ensures the application by pressurizing the paint contained in the liner (7) with the inner seal wedge (10). The hot oil on the inner oil wall maintains the paint temperature inside the pump and thusly a safe and smooth operation is ensured.

In order to perform the paint application at high pressure, it is enabled that the pump spoon (12) realizes the suction and compression motions with the downward and upward motion of the piston provided with drive thanks to the highly pressurized oil supplied to the hydraulic engine (1) determining the direction of the oil. The material present inside the pump spoon (12) is transferred to the inner portion of the pump during the motion. The hydraulic engine lower body (3) prevents the oil inside the hydraulic body (2) from coming out during application.

There is a varying pressure ratio in the hydraulic engine (1 ) portion and the paint pump portion. When the hydraulic piston drive shaft (4) positioned in the lower and upper pump bodies (6, 8) inside the hydraulic body (2) transfers power to the pump piston a certain number of times per minute, the suction-compression process takes place and the system performs the application process by keeping the paint ready at the application point. Said shaft (4) moves in a linear direction with the hydraulic pressure line in order to realize the suction-compression function of the paint pump. By means of the pump drive shaft (9) coupled to the piston drive shaft (4), suctioncompression motions are performed and the transfer of thermoplastic paint to the paint tank is ensured without an application of pressure.
