Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of traffic information acquisition and usage, and specifically relates to a road monitoring method and system: a plurality of Bluetooth transmission-based monitoring devices are provided on a road, and the monitoring method specifically comprising the following steps: by means of monitoring devices, acquiring the number and speed of vehicles in a corresponding monitoring zone of a road, and sending the same to a cloud server by means of a Bluetooth/WiFi gateway; forming road condition information of the road according to the acquired data information; and forming an anti-congestion measure according to the road condition information. The present invention monitors the road conditions of a road in real time, and sends traffic jam information to a management department and users if a traffic jam is detected such that the management department may promptly divert traffic away from the road section experiencing a traffic jam, and users may avoid the road experiencing the traffic jam according to an alert, thereby preventing the traffic jam from worsening.
