Abstract:
This road surface condition estimation device is provided with: an acceleration sensor 11 which detects an acceleration in a tire diameter direction; an acceleration waveform extraction means 12 which extracts an acceleration waveform from the acceleration; a differential waveform calculation means 13 which calculates a differential waveform of the acceleration waveform; a rotation time calculation means 14 which calculates a rotation time of a tire from the differential waveform; a standardized acceleration waveform creation means 15 which creates a standardized acceleration waveform by using the rotation time of the tire; and a road surface condition estimation means 16 which determines whether a water infiltration state between the tire and the road surface is shifted to a hydroplaning state.
