Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a road surface information collection device that consumes less power than before. In a road surface information collection device (10) of the present disclosure, acceleration experienced by an acceleration sensor (13) is sampled at a first sampling interval (S1) and at a second sampling interval (S2) shorter than the first sampling interval. Then, a rotational position of the acceleration sensor (13) is calculated on the basis of changes in first sampling data obtained by sampling at the first sampling interval (S1), and second sampling data are acquired by sampling detection results from the acceleration sensor (13) at the shorter second sampling interval (S2) on one condition that the acceleration sensor (13) is located within a first specified range (L1) including the position of the back side of a ground contact part of a tire (92).
