Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a robot arm coupling device configured so that a hydraulic pressure supply pipe, electric cable, etc., can be disposed in the central portion of a master plate and tool plate and do not protrude to the outside of the master plate and tool plate. [Solution] A locking mechanism (6) of a robot arm coupling device (1) is provided with: an engagement recess (3a) formed in a master plate (3); an engagement protrusion (4a) formed on a tool plate (4) so as to be insertable in the engagement recess (3a); multiple steel balls (16) that are fitted in the circumferential wall (15) of the engagement recess (3a) and can be switched between a locked position of engagement with an annular engagement part (4c), which is formed on the engagement protrusion (4a), and a disengaged unlocked position; and an annular hydraulic pressure cylinder (20) that is able to switch the multiple steel balls (16) from the unlocked position to the locked position. A space for disposing a hydraulic pressure supply pipe and electric cable is formed to the inside of the multiple steel balls (16) and the hydraulic pressure cylinder (20).
