Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the degree of ease with which maintenance of a robot arm mechanism is performed. In this robot arm mechanism, a support column 2 provided with a joint part J1 is supported on a base 1. An ascending/descending part 4 provided with a joint part J2 is mounted on the support column 2. A direct-acting extension/retraction mechanism provided with an arm part 5 capable of extending and retracting in a direct-acting manner is provided to the ascending/descending part 4. A wrist part 6 to which an end effector can be fitted is provided to the leading end of the arm part. The arm part is provided with: a plurality of first segments 53; a plurality of second segments 54; and a leading block 55 which couples the leading first segment among the plurality of first segments and the leading second segment among the plurality of second segments. When joined together, the first and second segments stiffen into a straight line to form the arm part. The leading block is provided with: a flange 553 to which the wrist part is connected; and a block main body 551 to which the first and second segments are connected. The flange 553 is formed as a separate body to the block main body 551 so as to be capable of being separated therefrom.
