Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to implement a safety measure, for a robot arm mechanism, which not only improves the safety of an end effector and ensures the reliability thereof, but which does not interfere with operation of the end effector. The robot arm mechanism is equipped with: a support part 2; an arm 5 supported on the support part in a movable manner; a wrist part 6 mounted on the tip of the arm; an end effector 8 having fingers 81, 82 and mounted on the tip of the wrist part; and a cylindrical cover 9 for covering at least the fingers 81, 82 of the end effector entirely.
