Abstract:
In order to design durability among components in accordance with the workload and expense of maintenance, the robot arm mechanism pertaining to the present embodiment is provided with an arm part (2) capable of changing states between a rigid state and a bent state, a support part (30) for supporting the arm part (2) in the rigid state, an accommodating part (11a) for accommodating the arm part (2) in the bent state, and a conveyance part (50) for sending the arm part (2) forward from the support part (11a), bringing back the arm part (2) rearward to the support part (30), and conveying the arm part (2) between the support part (30) and the accommodating part (11a). The support part (30) is provided with a plurality of rollers for holding the arm part (2) securely therebetween and supporting the arm part (2) so that the arm part (2) can move forward and backward, and the plurality of rollers have the same or lower surface hardness and/or strength than the arm part (2).
