Abstract:
Disclosed is an assistance robot configured to assist the movement of the lower limbs of a user. The present invention provides a robot for assisting lower limbs, comprising: a first link configured to support the lower leg part of a lower limb; a second link which is configured to support the thigh part of the lower limb, and which comprises a first joint rotatably connected to the first link, and a second joint arranged to face the first joint; a first actuator which comprises a first connection part rotatably connected to the first joint, and a second connection part rotatably connected to a body of the first link, and which is configured to apply a force of a predetermined size to the first connection part; a second actuator which comprises a third connection part rotatably connected to the second joint, and a fourth connection part rotatably connected to a body of the second link, and which is configured to apply a force of a predetermined size to the third connection part; and a first control module which is connected to the first and the second actuator, and which is configured to change the direction of the forces being applied to the first and the third connection part by the first and the second actuator so that a force is generated in an intended direction, while canceling applied gravity.
