Abstract:
The present invention improves the accuracy with which a robot identifies a charging station. The charging station comprises: a charging space that has a power supply terminal; a charging control unit that charges a secondary battery built in the robot when the power supply terminal is connected to the robot in the charging space; a light emission instruction reception unit that receives, from the robot, a light emission signal designating a light emission mode; and a light emission control unit that changes a light emission mode of a light source according to the designated light emission mode. The robot comprises: an operation control unit that selects a motion; a drive mechanism that executes the selected motion; a light emission instruction transmission unit that transmits the light emission signal; and a light recognition unit that recognizes external light. The light recognition unit of the robot specifies external light corresponding to the designated light emission mode, and the operation control unit determines the moving direction of the robot by using a light emission point of the external light as a location point of the charging station.
