Abstract:
A robot cleaner is disclosed. The present robot cleaner comprises: a driving device, a sensor, a memory, and a processor for controlling the driving device to allow the robot cleaner to be driven, generating a map regarding a space on the basis of information obtained through the sensor while the robot cleaner is driven in the space, and storing the generated map in the memory, wherein the processor divides the space on the generated map into a plurality of rooms, recognizes an object and an object position in the space on the generated map on the basis of information obtained through the sensor, stores information of the recognized object and object position onto the map, and generates room names for each of the plurality of rooms on the basis of information on the object recognized as being positioned in each of the plurality of rooms.
