Abstract:
The combination of a middleware layer depending on hardware and an application layer independent of hardware is dynamically changed so as to control articulated robot. A robot control system comprises a storage where sets of software depending on the hardware configuration of a robot are stored and a storage where sets of software independent of the hardware configuration of the robot are stored. To operate the robot, a software application suited to the hardware configuration of the robot is called from the former storage and combined with the software sets independent of the hardware configuration. Thus the action of the robot is properly controlled, matching the user"s needs.
