A robot control system according to the present invention comprises: a robot control circuit that controls driving of a robot shaft of a robot and that generates a control command value for an external shaft which is different from the robot shaft; an external motor; a motor control circuit that controls the external motor; and a pulse generator that converts a rotation amount of the external shaft based on the control command value to the number of pulses corresponding to the rotation amount, wherein the motor control circuit controls an output of the external motor on the basis of the count number which is obtained by counting the number of the pulses obtained by the conversion carried out by the pulse generator.
