Abstract:
This robot (100) is provided with: a body frame (310); an elastic body (312) that forms a closed space with the body frame (310); a movement mechanism (102) having a ground contact surface when moving, and provided so as to be capable of being housed in the closed space; and a drive mechanism that causes the movement mechanism (102) to advance to outside of the closed space or to retreat into the closed space. The elastic body (312) elastically deforms via a pressing force that is received in association with the advancement of the movement mechanism (102), and an opening part (313) for exposing the movement mechanism (102) is enlarged; and in association with the retreat of the movement mechanism (102), the elastic body (312) is elastically restored, and the opening part (313) becomes smaller.
