Abstract:
The present invention relates to a robot for inspecting a power distribution line. The robot comprises: a travel device coupled to an overhead earth wire which interconnects utility poles, such that the travel device travels along the overhead earth wire, being hung on the overhead earth wire, so as to inspect a power distribution line and power distribution equipment; a gripping device connected to the travel device such that the gripping device grips a utility pole and rotates about the utility pole to move the travel device when the travel device passes from one side to the other side of the utility pole; a connection device for interconnecting the travel device and the gripping device; and an inspection device which moves along the overhead earth wire by means of the travel device so as to inspect the power distribution line by detecting the temperature, images, and sound waves of the power distribution line.
