A robot for performing a specific service is disclosed. The robot may comprise a memory in which device information related to a feature included in each of at least one device is stored, a communication interface, and one or more processors which: when the robot is identified to be unable to perform a specific service, identify at least one device existing within a preconfigured distance from the robot; identify device information corresponding to each of the at least one device on the basis of the information stored in the memory; compare multiple pieces of reference feature information required for performing the specific service with multiple pieces of feature information identified on the basis of the device information so as to acquire similarity between the multiple pieces of reference feature information and the multiple pieces of feature information; on the basis of the acquired similarity, identify whether the at least one device is able to perform the specific service; and when the at least one device is identified to be able to perform the specific service, transmit information for the at least one device to perform the specific service to the at least one device through the communication interface.
